What is a token?
A token is the unit of AI "consumption" in Opti'. Every time the AI works for you, answering a question, generating a questionnaire, analysing data, writing a report, it uses a certain number of tokens, taken from your balance.
It is a simple and transparent system: rather than charging for each action, Opti' gives you a balance you spend freely, at your own pace, on whichever tools you like.
What a token lets you do
Tokens power the whole Opti' ecosystem. In practice, they let you:
- ask questions of OptiBot (method, indicators, donor reports, and more);
- generate and edit XLSForm questionnaires with Opti Gemba;
- run a disaggregated data analysis and have the AI interpret it;
- produce a narrative report (PowerPoint, PDF, HTML);
- follow a learning path with Opti Academy.
The longer or more complex a task, the more tokens it uses. A simple question costs very little, a full report rather more.

Alongside the daily earnings, Opti' pays one time bonuses for a few actions that make the tool genuinely usable. Each can be claimed only once, and your account keeps them for good. Together they are worth more than 20,000 tokens on their own.

The levels system: your earnings grow
The more you use Opti' and come back regularly, the more you climb the levels. Keeping a run of daily sign ins going, a "streak", speeds your progress up. Each level brings you two things:
- A higher token multiplier: your daily earnings (sign in, shares) pay more.
- A one time level bonus equal to the level × 10,000 tokens: 10,000 at level 1, 20,000 at level 2, up to 100,000 at level 10.
The token allowance in each plan
Each plan includes a token allowance that renews every month. These allowances come on top of the free tokens you earn.

Where to see my token balance
Your total balance is visible at any time in the app, from your profile. It adds up three sources:
- The tokens in your plan, renewed every month;
- The bonus tokens earned for free (sign in, shares, levels);
- The packs you may have added to your account.
You draw on that single balance, so the free tokens you build up are real and usable.

What exactly is a token?

Do I have to pay to use Opti'?
Not to start. Creating an account is free (the Demo plan) and you receive 30,000 tokens. You can then earn tokens for free every day in the app. The paid plans (Starter, Teams, Pro) add a larger monthly allowance for heavy use.
How do I earn the most free tokens?
Every day in the app: sign in (500 tokens), share the article of the day on LinkedIn (4,000 tokens) and share an Opti' page on LinkedIn (8,000 tokens), which is up to about 12,500 tokens a day. On top of that come the one time bonuses: fill in your profile, take the guided tour and join the WhatsApp community (5,000 tokens each), turn on notifications (2,000), set a password (1,000) and finish a getting started path (1,000). As you climb the levels your multiplier rises and the daily earnings pay more still.
What are the levels for?
The more you use Opti' and come back regularly, the more you climb the levels. Each level raises your token multiplier, so your daily earnings pay more, and unlocks a one time bonus equal to the level multiplied by 10,000 tokens, from 10,000 at level 1 up to 100,000 at level 10.
Where can I see my token balance?
Right inside the app, from your profile. Your total balance adds up the tokens in your plan (renewed every month), the bonus tokens you have earned for free, and any token packs.
